I’m Boss Kite. Purveyor of fine Skweee, Drone and sleek RnB. The Grinel has given me kind permission to post my ramblings on this lovely Donky Pitch blog. I generally like fun things, sexy things and dark things. I don’t really know what that says about me, but through these posts, maybe you’ll start to work it out.
First things first. I love a bit of doom and gloom, and it can be found in bucket loads on the latest release from Roll the Dice on the Leaf label. There’s something in here for both synth lover and brooding post-rock fan. Deep arpeggiated synth lines, hypnotic pulses and reverberated graveyard piano combine at times to create a bleak pre-apocalyptic landscape that can be both edgy and comforting.
For those that find solace in tension, repetition and build.
