pop massacre vol 2

i love pop music and i love beats music, so for me this pop massacre series is a stroke of genius from the friends of friends camp (who recently released one of our album’s of the year thus far, by salva).
this second volume is less hectic than the first, employing slightly more pop and toning down the massacre, and all the better for it. dza’s reworking of the smiths mutes the vocal, applying synths, chops and screws. supachip injects a needle full of funk and bass into wooha (this will be merking the dancefloor for me) and lapalux twists jls out of their tiny minds. and there’s plenty more where that came from with jonwayne, devonwho, salva and shlohmo all featuring. in a time where average bootlegs are ten to the penny it’s refreshing to find such a high percentage of quality all in one place.
