The Range - The Big Dip (Astro Nautico)

I have been slightly slacking on my blog contributions of late, letting the other team members take all the shine. This morning the latest free release from the excellent Astro Nautico label dropped into my inbox and I could hold myself back no longer….

Having been a fan of previous releases from Astro Nautico including the likes of Howse and Kuhn, I headed straight over to their bandcamp to cop the 8 track mini album from North American producer The Range  - The Range first appeared on my radar when remixing Kuhn’s recent release on Civil Music, a combination of footwork inspired beats and heavy melodics which he has carried over into this latest effort. In short it is stunning, bass heavy, laced with cut up vocals and inventive samples.

So good I almost thought about keeping this all to myself, but this needs to be heard - head to the bandcamp and cop without hesitation.
